Why regular gutter cleaning matters in Merton
Merton's suburban streets have long roof runs and deep verges, so debris tends to sit in the middle of the gutter where it can't be seen from the ground.
We work on 1930s semis and terraced housing across Merton. Our team checks the access and the condition of the surfaces before starting, so you know what the clean involves and what it will cost.
Our gutter cleaning method
We survey the full gutter run from ground level with a camera pole, so you see exactly what is in there before we start.
Debris is drawn out with a high-reach vacuum system — no ladders leaning on your fascias, no mess in the beds below.
Downpipes and hopper heads are flushed through and checked for free flow, and we report anything that needs repair rather than quietly leaving it.
Merton questions we get asked
How often should gutters be cleaned in Merton?
For most 1930s semis and terraced housing in Merton we recommend twice a year — late autumn once the leaves are down, and again in spring. Properties with overhanging trees usually need the autumn visit without fail.
Do you need access to the garden or driveway in Merton?
Usually just clear ground access around the perimeter. Our vacuum systems reach up to three storeys from the ground, so most Merton jobs are completed without anyone needing to be home.
