Why regular roof cleaning & moss removal matters in Hove
Hove's grand stucco avenues and mansion flats show sea-air grime clearly on light paintwork and large sash windows.
We work on stucco villas, Victorian terraces and mansion flats across Hove. Our team checks the access and the condition of the surfaces before starting, so you know what the clean involves and what it will cost.
How our roof cleaning & moss removal in Hove works
1
Moss is scraped back by hand or with controlled low-pressure tools — never a high-pressure lance, which strips the protective granules from tiles.
2
The roof is softwashed to lift lichen staining and algae, with gutters cleared of the fallen debris afterwards.
3
A biocide treatment is applied to slow regrowth, and we tell you honestly when a roof simply needs a repair instead.
Roof Cleaning & Moss Removal in Hove: FAQs
Is pressure washing safe for roofs in Hove?
We don't pressure wash roofs. On stucco villas, Victorian terraces and mansion flats around Hove that would shorten tile life considerably, so we scrape and softwash instead.
How long before the moss comes back?
With the biocide treatment applied, most roofs stay visibly clear for three to five years depending on tree cover and how much shade the slope gets.
How much does roof cleaning & moss removal cost in Hove?
Prices depend on the size and access of the property. Use the instant quote form at the top of this page for a Hove price, or call 07337 738327.
Which day do you work in Hove?
We work East Sussex on a fortnightly postcode round. Enter your postcode in the quote form and it will show the dates we are next in your area. We do not work Saturdays.
Are you insured for roof cleaning & moss removal in Hove?
Yes. We are fully insured and Checkatrade vetted, and we provide before-and-after photos on every Hove job.
Do I need to be home for roof cleaning & moss removal?
Usually not. As long as we have safe access around the outside of the property, most Hove jobs are completed while you are out. We will message you photos when we finish.
Do you offer roof cleaning & moss removal for businesses in Hove?
Yes — we look after shops, offices, schools, landlords and managing agents across Hove and East Sussex, with invoices for every visit.
